Archrock 70th Anniversary logo

The Archrock family of companies has been serving the natural gas industry since 1954, beginning as South Coast Gas Company, and later operating as Tidewater Compression Services and Universal Compression Holdings, Inc. In 2007, Universal Compression and Hanover Compression merged to form Exterran Holdings, Inc. In 2015, we spun-off our global product line and non-U.S. compression businesses into a publicly traded company, which retained the “Exterran” name. As a result of the spin-off, Exterran Holdings, Inc. became a primary U.S. contract compression services business and changed its name to Archrock, Inc.

Maintaining our focus on U.S.-based contract compression operations, including compression services and aftermarket services, Archrock has continued this 70 year legacy of excellence and industry-leading performance to deliver uptime for its customers. Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Archrock has approximately 1,300 employees and operates in every major oil and gas producing region in the United States. Having a broad U.S. footprint and extensive experience allows us to serve clients in a way no other company can. We are proud of a history that is rich with accomplishments. We are excited about our role in the future of the natural gas industry and the integral part we play in delivering cleaner energy to help power America.
